Listen to the interview on ABC online.

“It was only 100 years ago when women were awarded the right to vote in Australia.

Fast-forward to 2010 and we have just seen our nation’s first female Prime Minister taking the stand.

Just after 10:00pm AEST last night, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced he had been challenged to a ballot for the leadership between him and Julia Gillard…”

All in all i think its good to have a female PM
Like her or not she has earned her place at the top of politics. I think she is at
Least better than Kevin Rudd.
I think it would have been better if she has been been more open with the public first. I think the thing that really
Grates with me is that again it was a bunch right wing men who hold so much power
And these are same men responsible so many of the woeful policies from the government.
The thing i want to know is will she be locking up refugees including women and children
Or will she show some integrity and stand up for human
Rights.

Big thanks and well done to all
Of the people at WEL for all the hard work you have done
Over the years. It is a tough job. Thanks for being great and taking a
Backseat.
